Saint-Maximin has been a big topic of discussion among supporters in recent weeks with the winger struggling for form since recovering from a calf injury and illness.
Howe was asked by NewcastleWorld if the 25-year-old had a long-term at St James’ Park amid the recent speculation.

“I’ve got a great relationship with Maxi, I’ve really enjoyed working with him.
“For me, if you look between now and the end of the season, we need Maxi at his very best levels, he could potentially be the difference between us staying in the league.

“He’s an incredible talent and yes, of course he has a long-term future at the club.”
Saint-Maximin’s inclusion in the starting XI against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday was his first since February 13.
That was after the Frenchman got a much-needed two weeks of training under his belt in Dubai and then back on Tyneside.
