Eddie Howe’s message to Newcastle United fans as he aims to kick start the Magpies’ Premier League season
Newcastle United head coach Eddie Howe has issued a message to fans ahead of his managerial debut in charge of the Magpies.
Howe will be in the St James’ Park home dugout for the first time tomorrow - and he believes everyone in the ground will have a part to play as United chase their first three points of the season.
“I am looking forward to the challenge,” he said.

Hide Ad“It is a huge challenge that we face. I am under no illusions about our current situation and what we need to do.
“Tomorrow is a massive day for everyone associated with the football club.”
On the impact supporters can have and the reaction he’s received since arriving in the city, Howe spoke in glowing terms.
“The supporters have shown how important it is - it's a sell out and I am sure the atmosphere will be a brilliant thing for me and my players to experience,” said the 43-year-old former Bournemouth and Burnley boss.
“I thank the supporters for everything, how welcome they have made us feel, my staff.
“I just urge them to try and help the team get a win tomorrow.”
