Eddie Howe’s reported Newcastle United salary - compared to Leeds, Aston Villa & Everton bosses

Where does Newcastle United’s Eddie Howe sit in a list of salaries earned by Premier League managers?

Eddie Howe has enjoyed an impressive first five months in charge of Newcastle United and has quickly endeared himself to the St James Park faithful.

After being chosen as successor to Steve Bruce, Howe gained his first win at the fourth attempt as a Callum Wilson goal gave his side their first maximum of the season against Burnley in early December.

A 1-0 away win at Leeds United in January proved to be pivotal and see the Magpies up for a productive final week of the transfer window with the additions of Dan Burn, Matt Targett and Bruno Guimaraes all completed before the deadline.

That rounded off an eventful first month of the year after United had already landed Atletico Madrid’s Kieran Tripper and Burnley striker Chris Wood to give their relegation-threated squad a much needed boost.

With the new additions in place and Howe’s methods bringing the best out of existing squad players, Newcastle have never looked back and they raced up the Premier League table.

Their top flight status is now all but assured for next season and plans are moving forward to continue the progression made in the opening months of Howe’s reign at St James Park.

The former Bournemouth manager has been a shrewd addition by the Magpies hierachy - but how much does he earn and how does it compare to his Premier League rivals?
