Simply, it’s win or bust for the Three Lions in their World Cup journey now. Southgate’s men topped Group B following a 3-0 win over UK rivals Wales but now face a much sterner test as they enter the knockout stages.

And after making four changes for the midweek win over Wales, Southgate has a number of selection dilemmas. Kieran Trippier was dropped for Kyle Walker and Callum Wilson missed out on the starting XI again. Both Newcastle United players, particularly Trippier, are hoping for a recall.
