Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag has suggested both Scott McTominay and Antony will be fit for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United.

Injury prevented the pair from flying to Spain with the Red Devils on Wednesday for the first leg of their Europa League last 16 versus Barcelona.

Speaking ahead tonight’s first-legged tie at the Camp Nou, ten Hag hinted that the pair will be back in time for Wembley on Sunday, February 26.

“It looks good. I think they are on their way back,” said the Dutchman. “They are coming back on the training ground, individually at the end of the week.

“Maybe Scott can make the team, then next week, maybe Antony. We have to see his progress.”

Ten Hag was also asked about Anthony Martial but failed to give an update on the Frenchman.

The 27-year-old has missed 22 games through various different injuries this season, and hasn’t been involved in Man United’s last five Premier League matches.

Midfielders Christan Eriksen and Donny van de Beek will miss the final because of long-term injuries.
