Everton v Newcastle United early team news: £55m duo doubtful as 13 players out

Everton v Newcastle United early team news: 13 ruled out as two players rated as doubtful.

Newcastle United face Everton at Goodison Park tonight (kick-off 7:30pm) - and will be without No.1 goalkeeper Nick Pope for the first time this season.

Pope has missed just one Premier League game for the Magpies since joining from Burnley last year but now won't play for the next four months after undergoing surgery on a dislocated shoulder.

"He'd been in the best form he's been in since being at the football club," said Newcastle boss Eddie Howe. "How is he? He'll naturally be down. We're at a stage in the season where we have so many games and he's got the Euros ahead of him as well which he was determined to try and be involved in.

"There's still a chance of that but the determination is to come back for us and you never what situation we'll be in at that stage of the season. It could be a lot worse for him but we're thinking of him.

"It was another strange injury for us and there was no reason for that to happen at that moment but with Fabian [Schar[ blocking the shot in front of him, I think his dive was slightly different than it normally would have been and unfortunately we suffer another injury to a big player."

Indeed, Pope's injury adds to a lengthy list of absentees. Here, NewcastleWorld takes you through which Newcastle and Everton players are ruled out of this evening's clash, and those that are a doubt:
