Former Liverpool and Rangers transfer guru Frank McParland is set for an ‘advisory’ role within the new Newcastle United football executive.

NewcastleWorld understands McParland, who has close ties with former manager Rafa Benitez, will operate as a ‘consultant to the board’ at St James’ Park.

However, one figure who is unlikely to be returning to United is Owen Brown.

Benitez ‘fixer’ Brown had been lined up by the PCP Consortium to take on a senior role in the new regime, when the original deal was put together back in 2020.
