Newcastle United advanced into the fourth of the FA Cup for the first time in two seasons after their 3-0 win over bitter rivals Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

It was perhaps easy to forget that Saturday's meeting at the Stadium of Light was indeed an FA Cup game as the two clubs renewed their rivalry following a nearly eight-year absence.

It saw United put an end to their Tyne-Wear derby hoodoo as an Alexander Isak brace, plus an own goal by Dan Ballard, recorded the club's first victory over the Black Cats for 12 and a half years.

When is the FA Cup fourth round draw?

The draw for the fourth round of the FA Cup will take place on the evening of Monday, January 8.

It will be held live on ITV1 before the start of Wigan Athletic v Manchester United at approximately 7:50pm.
