FA make official St James' Park announcement as move approved by Newcastle United
The England national team are returning to St James' Park in June as part of their preparations for the 2024 European Championships.

Hide AdGareth Southgate's side visit Tyneside on Monday, June 3 to take on Bosnia & Herzegovina (kick-off 7:45pm). It'll be the first time The Three Lions have played at St James' Park since 2005 when they beat Azerbaijan 2-0 in a World Cup qualifier.
It represents England and Bosnia's first-ever meeting. Four days later, Southgate's men host Iceland at Wembley before jetting off to Germany where they take on Serbia in their Group C opener at the Veltins Arena on Sunday, June 16.
"We're really looking forward to taking the team back to the North East and to a city that is synonymous with football in this country, " said Southgate.

Hide Ad"We will follow that with another special occasion at Wembley allowing our fans the opportunity to give us a final send off before we head to Germany for another exciting summer. Both opponents in June are sure to provide stiff competition and play an important in our preparation for the tournament."
Magpies defender Kieran Trippier is hoping to be involved in England's Euro 2024 campaign, as are the likes of Callum Wilson, Nick Pope and Anthony Gordon.

It's a good time for people in the region to watch this England side with our fantastic players, both young and experienced.

How to buy tickets
Tickets for the game at St. James' Park will be available via thefa.com/tickets, with the first stage of tickets on sale from February 26 to members of England Travel Club before My England Football Members will have access from 8th March.
Remaining tickets will go to general sale from March 8, whilst a number of hospitality packages will be available via Newcastle United, with fans able to register their interest here.
