Newcastle United make the trip to Chelsea on Tuesday night (kick-off 8pm) with a place in the semi-finals of the Carabao Cup up for grabs.
After being rocked by their Champions League exit at the hands of AC Milan last Wednesday, Eddie Howe's side avoided a hangover and bounced back emphatically against Fulham on Saturday via three second half goals from Lewis Miley, Miguel Almiron and Dan Burn.
But as is the case with United at the moment, there were further injury concerns.
Fabian Schar (glute) and Joelinton (hamstring) were forced off in the first half. And prior to the game, it was revealed that club-record signing Alexander Isak had been left out of the squad after feeling the after-affects of his recent groin issue.
While the injuries mount, so too do the games, and the visit to Stamford Bridge is arguably Newcastle's biggest match of the campaign as a win will see them move into the last four of the League Cup for the second consecutive year. Howe's men, of course, reached the final at Wembley last season.
