Newcastle United enjoyed another January of significant spending.

The Magpies were not overly busy during the winter window, which closed on Tuesday night, but they did manage to spend around £45million on the signging of Anthony Gordon. Eddie Howe’s men are gunning for Champions League qualification this season, currently in third place and three points ahead of Tottenham in fifth having played a game more.

But the late January additions could yet impact how the Premier League table shakes out, especially with clubs like Chelsea spending large amounts this winter.
