Final Premier League table: Where Newcastle United, Aston Villa & Chelsea are tipped to finish

Final Premier League 2022-23 table predicted: Where Newcastle United, Aston Villa & Chelsea are tipped to finish.

Newcastle United currently sit seventh in the Premier League table - but where are Eddie Howe's side expected to finish come May?

The Magpies certainly can't be accused of lacking entertainment in recent weeks with Saturday's 2-2 draw with AFC Bournemouth the latest high-scoring encounter after the 3-2 defeat to Manchester City, the 3-1 win at Aston Villa, the 4-4 draw against Luton Town and last week's 3-2 victory away to Nottingham Forest.

Howe's men are unbeaten in five matches in all competitions but remain without a win at St James' Park in 2024. They're also fourth in the Premier League in terms of goals scored but 11th when it comes to goals conceded.

"I think if you look at it a little closer those goals have come against us in the last couple of months," Howe explained. "I’m not making excuses or trying to blame anybody, is that just the facts… I think there valid reasons for why we haven’t been solid defensively than we were earlier in the season.

"Of course we’re trying to find ways to make us more solid. Nothing’s changed in the way we play and we prepare, but we haven’t been as solid defensively in the last few weeks." As it stands, Newcastle are 12 points off the top four and are in a battle with West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Manchester UnitedChelsea and Wolverhampton Wanderers to finish anywhere between sixth and 10th.

How will the Premier League table look come the end of the season? Using their calculations, FootballWP have predicted where each club will finish.
