Newcastle United are hoping to follow up the midweek win away to Aston Villa with another three points at home to Luton Town this afternoon.
The Magpies won 3-1 at Villa Park courtesy of a first-half brace from Fabian Schar and an own goal by Alex Moreno. The win was slightly overshadowed by Alexander Isak's withdrawal but there is, according to United assistant coach Jason Tindall, a chance he could be involved against the Hatters.
Newcastle will also make checks on Callum Wilson, Harvey Barnes, Joe Willock and Jamaal Lascelles in hope they can make the matchday squad.
Meanwhile, Luton have confirmed they will be boosted by the return of Teden Mengi, Jacob Brown and Issa Kabore.
Mengi, who just missed Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Brighton and Hove Albion, returns from a slight hip injury while Brown is back to full fitness following a knee problem. And Kaboré is available again having returned from international duty at African Cup of Nations with Burkina Faso.
Here's the latest team news from both camps ahead of today's 3pm kick-off on Tyneside.
