After joining United agpies as part of a unique loan swap deal that saw Dwight Gayle move to West Bromwich Albion, Rondon went on to score 12 goals in 33 appearances for the Magpies.

Rondon was reunited with Magpies boss Rafa Benitez at Chinese club Dalian Professional and the striker once again followed the Spaniard to Everton when he succeeded Carlo Ancelotti at Goodison Park last summer.

Former United winger Townsend also joined Everton last summer after the expiry of his contract at Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.

Both Rondon and Townsend have outlasted Benitez on Merseyside but could be set to depart the Toffees after reportedly entering into talks with Turkish clubs.

Football Insider have revealed Rondon has been allowed to leave Everton and named Adana Demirspor as one club that are keen to secure his services before the Turkish transfer window closes on Thursday.

And Turkish outlet Fanatik have reported reigning Super Lig champions Trabzonspor have made a late offer to take Townsend as he enters the final year of his own deal at Everton.

Neither player are said to be part of Frank Lampard’s plans at Goodison Park and could look to reignite their careers by accepting deadline day moves to Turkey.
