Former Newcastle United players and supporters have hailed Kieran Trippier’s stunning free-kick in the Magpies 3-3 draw with Premier League rivals Manchester City.
Eddie Howe’s side more than played their part in a Premier League classic as they shared six goals with the Premier League champions.

City went ahead in the early stages with a goal from Ilkay Gundogan before United hit back to take a half-time thanks to well-taken finishes from Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson.
There were just nine minutes of the second-half gone when Trippier stepped up to curl a sumptuous free-kick beyond Ederson and into the top corner of the net.

Ultimately, it wasn’t enough as Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva goals helped Pep Guardiola’s side battle back to earn a point.
But that didn’t stop those of a Magpies persuasion lauding Trippier’s wonderful free-kick.
Twitter user Cam Kirkham said: ‘Look at that face man. Magic’ and DannyNUFC tweeted “Wow. Get to the World Cup lad’.
