Fresh injury doubt as Allan Saint-Maximin and six players ruled out of Everton v Newcastle United
Newcastle United and Everton injury news ahead of Thursday night’s Premier League clash.
Newcastle United are buzzing following their demolition job of Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday afternoon - but Eddie Howe won’t allow his players to get ahead of themselves.
The Magpies took a big step towards securing Champions League qualification after braces from Jacob Murphy and Alexander Isak, plus goals from Joelinton and substitute Callum Wilson sealed a 6-1 win.
As a result, United moved up to third in the Premier League table, six points above their fifth-place visitors, and still with a game in-hand to play.
Seven games remain, and Howe is keen to stress that nothing is won yet. His side travel to Everton on Thursday night, a ground they lost on last season after Alex Iwobi’s injury time winner.
Ahead of the game, Newcastle have a fresh injury concern, while Allan Saint-Maximin is expected to miss the game, although is nearing a return from a hamstring injury,
Everton, meanwhile, have a few injury concerns of their own. NewcastleWorld takes a look at the latest team news ahead of the Premier League clash at Goodison Park:
