We’re only three weeks into Eddie Howe's reign as Newcastle United head coach - but he’s already shown his outstanding commitment to the role.
The 43-year-old will finally make his way into the Magpies dugout at Arsenal on Saturday after overcoming Covid-19.

However, Howe refused to take a break and worked tirelessly with Jason Tindall and the rest of his backroom staff to ensure he remained heavily involved in the Arsenal preparations.
After returning a negative Covid-19 result this morning, Howe is set to break free from his hotel room and be on the touchline at the Emirates.
Eddie Howe’s symptoms
“It’s very similar to when I started to feel my symptoms,” Tindall revealed.

“He’s been a little bit like that. Certainly, in the early part of the week, where he was feeling at his worst, he was sleeping a lot, resting a lot.
“In terms of sickness and bad headaches and that sort of stuff, he wasn’t really feeling that but I know it took it out of him physically for sure.”
But Eddie Howe didn’t let that stop him
Tindall said: “The lads have worked extremely hard on the training ground and we’ve been in constant dialogue with Eddie maybe four, five or six times a day.

“He sees training back every day. We video training every single day from multiple angles that will then be sent to him in the afternoon.
“He’ll review that back, as we do as coaches, and analyse all the details in that session and feedback what is necessary to the players the following day.
“Eddie’s been a big part of that. We know he’s a very hands-on manager and coach and he’s had that influence throughout the week in terms of the preparations for Arsenal.
“I’m not surprised because I know Eddie very well.
“Sometimes I do tell him he just needs to relax and rest, but it’s not the character of Eddie, that’s for sure."
