Where Newcastle United’s revenue last season ranks around the world

After years of disappointment and money spent in the wrong places, Newcastle United were able to kickstart a new era as they were taken over by a group led by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. The Magpies have since massively improved their results and league position, bring in some top quality players and undoubtedly grown their fanbase across the world.

Since the takeover was completed in October 2021, Newcastle have snapped up the likes of Alexander Isak, Sven Botman and Bruno Guimaraes. As they continue to challenge for European football this season, they have well and truly thrown themselves into the deep end with some of the world’s biggest clubs.

Less than eight months after the 2021-22 campaign has concluded, Deloitte’s Football Money League has provided the statistics for the top 20 revenue generating clubs from that season. With the total revenue of all 20 adding up to €9.2 billion, we take a look at where Newcastle United rank compare to their rivals.
