After years of disappointment and money spent in the wrong places, Newcastle United were able to kickstart a new era as they were taken over by a group led by the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund. The Magpies have since massively improved their results and league position, bring in some top quality players and undoubtedly grown their fanbase across the world.

Since the takeover was completed in October 2021, Newcastle have snapped up the likes of Alexander Isak, Sven Botman and Bruno Guimaraes.
