If Newcastle United’s January transfer window is anything to go by, the coming months could be pretty hectic at St. James’ Park.
Backed by the vast wealth of their new owners, the Magpies are widely expected to spend big this summer as they continue to rebuild their squad under Eddie Howe.
But with so many rumours doing the rounds, it can be hard to keep track of who the Toon Army have actually been linked with.
With that in mind, we’ve taken a look at how Newcastle could line up next season if some of the latest and most prominent pieces of transfer speculation came to fruition.
Check out the starting XI below...
1. GK: Dean Henderson
At odds of 1/20, Newcastle are far and away the favourites to land Henderson this summer, with the stopper widely expected to leave Manchester United in the coming months.
2. RB: Kieran Trippier
Back from injury, the England international will feel like a new signing when 2022/23 gets underway.
3. CB: Dan Burn
Another January signing who is likely to keep his place next season, Burn has made quite the impact on Tyneside.
4. CB: Sven Botman
Heavily linked in January, the Telegraph report that the Toon Army could be back in the running to sign Botman this summer.
