Newcastle United will assess Joelinton ahead of Saturday evening's Premier League at home to champions Manchester City (kick-off 5:30pm).
The Brazilian was a standout performer in the Tyne-Wear derby victory over Sunderland yesterday. He set up the opener after his cross was turned into his own net by Dan Ballard before Alexander Isak scored a second-half brace.
But shortly after United's second goal, Joelinton was brought off after picking up a thigh injury towards the end of the first-half. Asked about the 27-year-old after the game, Eddie Howe said: "One negative is the injury to Joelinton. He felt his thigh switching play. We don’t know what that looks like yet."
Newcastle will hope Joelinton's absence is not lengthy. Howe is already without eight senior players and here, we take a look at when they're due to be back in action:

9. Miguel Almiron - knee
Howe says Almiron should be "there or thereabouts" for Burnley after missing the last month with a knee injury. Possible return date: Burnley (A) 04/05 | Getty Images
