Newcastle United’s 4-0 win against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday was unbelievable in more ways than one.

Eddie Howe’s side were rampant at St James’ Park as a brace from Alexander Isak and goals from Anthony Gordon & Fabian Schar saw the Magpies move up to sixth in the Premier League table.

After beating Fulham the weekend prior, it was also the first time United have won back-to-back league wins since December. And they did so without 11 senior players.

Injuries have dominated Newcastle’s season and perhaps the most unusual thing about Saturday was there no fresh problems to report.

And encouragingly, Howe now has a period to welcome players back for the trip to Crystal Palace next Wednesday (April 24). From Spurs to Palace there is 10 day break with United out of Premier League action this weekend.
