Kieran Trippier has set his sights on sealing a Premier League top four finish to end Newcastle United’s 19-year absence from the Champions League.
The Magpies took a big step towards finishing inside the top four after humiliating Tottenham Hotspur at St James’ Park.

Harry Kane pulled one back at the beginning of the second-half before substitute Callum Wilson added a sixth on 67 minutes.
With United now sitting six points inside the top four ahead of fifth-place Spurs, Trippier isn’t frightened to go public with his and his teammates’ ambitions.
“We shouldn’t be scared to say we want to play Champions League football,” said Trippier. “The games are running out. This stadium would be bouncing with Champions League football.

“We got some goals early in the game. We showed throughout the season we want to be on the front foot.”
Howe, however, is refusing to entertain European talk.
Asked if he was thinking of Champions League football, the 45-year-old replied: “Me personally, no. I’m talking about Everton now and making sure we focus on our next game.”
“From what I see and feel from the group, I don’t sense they’re looking ahead,” Howe added. “I don’t think we can afford to look ahead, we can only afford to look ahead day-by-day and making sure we come into training tomorrow with the right attitude.
