The wife of Kieran Trippier has responded to the incident involving her husband and a fan following Newcastle United's defeat to Bournemouth on Saturday night.

It is unclear what the fan said, but the England international could be heard saying "were the lads not giving everything?" and repeatedly said "how many injuries have we got?" before being dragged away by Joelinton.
Trippier's wife, Charlotte Trippier, has responded to the clash on her Instagram page. She said: "You fans are amazing!! So many gorgeous messages. Don't worry, KT is not panicking about that 1 fan last night."
Charlotte screenshotted a message from a fan that read: "Tell your husband, our vice captain, that 99% per-cent of our fans love what he and the rest of the team give every few days against domestic and international teams.

"Thank you for supporting your husbands on his choice to join Newcastle."
Indeed, Trippier addressed the incident immediately after the game.
"It was just one of those where they were emotional and they have travelled far - we were having a chat," he told Premier League Productions.

"We are not panicking and we must stick together.
"The international break has come at the right time for the team and to have some down time and refresh then come back. After the break it will be relentless again."
Trippier joins up with England for Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta and North Macedonia before returning to Premier League action against Chelsea on November 25.
United are currently without 11 first team players after Howe confirmed new injuries for Miguel Almiron and Callum Wilson.
