Liverpool 'agree personal terms' with £26m Newcastle United transfer target
Sources in Spain claimed Newcastle United were plotting a move for the 23-year-old prior to his impressive showing for Georgia at Euro 2024. The Magpies also targeted Burnley’s James Trafford but had a £16million bid rejected.
Newcastle’s interest in both players has since cooled following the arrivals of Odysseas Vlachodmis and John Ruddy. As part of Elliot Anderson’s PSR-forced £35million move to Nottingham Forest, Eddie Howe’s side agreed to sign Vlachodimos in return while Ruddy penned a one-year contract after he left Birmingham City.

While Trafford is expected to stay at Burnley after starting their Championship opener away to Luton Town on Monday evening, Mamardashvili is poised to move to Anfield.
As per Fabrizio Romano, the giant shotstopper has agreed personal terms. Although there is no agreement between the two clubs regarding a transfer fee, Romano reports that the Reds are “ seriously considering opportunity” a deal in excess in £26m.
The plan would be to send Mamardashvili out on loan for one or two years before replacing Alisson as the new number one.
