Speculation has surrounded the Swede all season despite Toon chiefs being in a position of strength. Isak - who has 24 goals across all competitions this season - is valued by the Magpies at more than £150million.
Newcastle are in no desperate need to sell given the 25-year-old has three years to run on his current contract. With silverware in the bag and Champions League qualification looking possible, there is also a feeling that Isak can achieve his dreams on Tyneside.

Further afield, the likes of Barcelona have reportedly expressed interest although their financial situation remains precarious. As it stands, Isak staying at Newcastle next season looks a safe bet.
Liverpool legend Carragher believes his former club must change tack and target Eintracht Frankfurt forward Ekitike. His name will also be familiar to Toon fans as he rejected the club twice earlier in the Saudi-backed era.
While the first snub came in January 2022, when Newcastle were staring at a possible relegation, the second came during the following summer. A fee was agreed between the Magpies and Reims but Ekitike declined again.

Carragher is adamant that the 22-year-old “looks” like a Liverpool player and he should be targeted over Isak. He told The Overlap US: “I don’t think they’ll absolutely break the bank. There’s the lad at Eintracht Frankfurt, who scored against Tottenham. Ekitike, that smacks to me the type of player Liverpool would sign.
“He’s 22, he’s at a club you think would probably be a selling club. He’s done really well. He went to PSG as a young kid, it didn’t work out for him, but he’s still really young (and has) great numbers this season. He looks to me like the type of player Liverpool would sign instead of Isak.”
Alexander Isak has already committed future to Newcastle United
Isak made it clear in no uncertain terms that he is happy on Tyneside following the Carabao Cup final win. The striker told Swedish media: “There’s not much to say, really. I’ve commented on my situation and my security in Newcastle several times.”
