Manchester City will be without key midfielder Rodri for Wednesday night’s third round Carabao Cup tie against Newcastle United.
The 27-year-old, whose goal won Man City the Champions League in June, was shown a red card for violent conduct in this afternoon’s 2-0 win over Nottingham Forest.

“I can get a yellow card, Rodri cannot get a yellow card because they are inside the pitch.
“I said at half-time, ‘Be careful, guys. Be careful.’ Unfortunately, we could not do it. Rodri could not do it.”
