Casemiro will be available for the Carabao Cup final against Newcastle United after Manchester United decided not to appeal the midfielder’s red card.
The Brazilian was sent off during Saturday’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace for grabbing Will Hughes around the neck following a scuffle between both sets of players.

Erik ten Hag revealed at the weekend Man United would consider appealing Casemiro’s dismissal, however it proved too risky. Had the FA disciplinary panel rejected the appeal case and deemed it to be ‘frivolous’ then an extra game is added to the suspension.
Ten Hag confirmed: “Consider yeah. For me, it wasn’t the right decision but I don’t think we have a chance in a legal process [of the appeal].”
Casemiro’s countryman Bruno Guimaraes will also be back for the final.
The Newcastle midfielder serves the remainder of his three-match ban against Bournemouth and Liverpool before Eddie Howe’s side play their first domestic final in 24 years.
