Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is considering deploying Luke Shaw at centre-back tonight, according to our sister title ManchesterWorld.
Ten Hag's men surrendered a 3-1 lead to draw 3-3 with Galatasaray on Wednesday, a result that put a major dent in their hopes of reaching the knockout stages of the Champions League.
Shaw started at left-back but could start in the heart of the defence this evening.
The England international, who recently returned to the team following a three-month injury layoff, played centrally on a number of occasions last season but has been selected exclusively at left-back in his four appearances this term.
Ten Hag has openly acknowledged that he prefers to select a right and left-footer at centre-back, and recently admitted that partly explained why Raphael Varane had fallen out of favour, with the ex-Real Madrid not suited to playing alongside Harry Maguire.

1. GK : Andre Onana
Had another night to forget on Wednesday as the goalkeeper gave away two soft goals from free-kicks.
2. RB: Diogo Dalot
The Portugal defender started against Everton, but Aaron Wan-Bissaka was selected in Turkey. Dalot might be given the nod at Newcastle.
3. CB: Harry Maguire
United's most consistent player over the last two months.
4. CB: Luke Shaw
We're predicting the ex-Southampton man will start, even though he's only recently recovered from a long-term injury. Sergio Reguilon does offer an alternative if needed.
