Marc Guehi issues three-word message as £60m Newcastle United bid goes public
The Magpies have been locked in talks to sign the 24-year-old having saw two offers turned down by Palace last week. But Newcastle have returned with a third bid, understood be worth £55million with achievable add-ons which could take the deal past £60m - as per iNews.
The improved bid was made over the weekend but didn’t go public until Monday afternoon with Sky Sports News first to break the story. And just hours later, Guehi suggested he was unaffected by reports after taking to Instagram.

Hide AdIn his post, Guehi uploaded photos of him back in action for Palace with the caption “back at it”. It comes after the former Chelsea youngster played an hour of Palace’s 1-1 draw against Nantes on Sunday in what was his first appearance since reporting back for pre-season.
Similar to Newcastle pair Anthony Gordon and Kieran Trippier, Guehi was handed extra time off after reaching the Euro 2024 final with England. Gordon played 45 minutes in Friday’s 4-0 win over Girona while Trippier got through 70 minutes as United beat Stade Brestois a day later.
United will hope for progress before this weekend’s Premier League opener at home to Southampton. Palace, meanwhile, open up their campaign away to Brentford.
Oliver Glasner’s side have been looking at other centre-backs in the event that that Guehi leaves. The shortlist reportedly includes Wolfsburg’s Maxence Lacroix, Bayer Leverkusen’s Odilon Kossounou and Chelsea’s Trevoh Chalobah.
