Marcus Rashford and six Manchester United players that could miss Newcastle United final
Manchester United have just two full days to prepare for Sunday’s Carabao Cup final in what could be seen as an advantage for Newcastle United.
Erik ten Hag’s side played Barcelona in a Europa League play-off last night and sealed their progression into the last 16 via a 4-3 aggregate victory.
After playing out a 2-2 draw at Camp Nou, the Red Devils got the job done on home turf after goals from Fred and Antony cancelled out Robert Lewandowski’s opener.
The Red Devils came through relatively unscathed, although star man Marcus Rashford has sparked some injury fresh on Instagram this morning.
The England international is still expected to make the final at Wembley, but if he is required to sit out, here’s six players that could be joining him on the sidelines:

1. Marcus Rashford
Rashford has sparked injury fears after posting a photo to his Instagram story with the head bandaged emoji. The England forward required treatment after a challenge from Barcelona defender Ronald Araujo.

2. Anthony Martial

3. Donny van de Beek
Van de Beek will miss the remainder of the 2022-23 campaign because of a knee injury sustained during a 3-0 victory over Bournemouth at the beginning of last month.

4. Christian Eriksen
