Newcastle United co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi has taken to Twitter to tell Magpies fans exactly how he will celebrate their latest Premier League win.

United ran riot in East London on Wednesday night as they further underlined their Champions League credentials with a 5-1 victory over West Ham United.

Returning duo Callum Wilson and Joelinton both netted a brace and substitute Alexander Isak scored off the bench on an emphatic evening in the capital. Kurt Zouma scored what turned out to be a consolation for the Hammers.

And taking to social media Ghodoussi, in typical fashion, expressed his delight at the Newcastle victory - as well as letting fans, who travelled down to London in their thousands, just how he’d celebrate the night away.

Tweeting from Augusta in the USA, Ghodoussi said: “I’ll be on the cans tonight @jamiereuben.”

Ghodoussi made sure he mentioned fellow co-owner Jamie Reuben, of RB Sports & Media, who own a 10% stake in the Magpies, along with PCP Capital Partners. As yet, the fellow director is yet to respond, but fans will be waiting with baited breath to see if Reuben will bite back on the platform.

The win saw Eddie Howe’s United maintain their top four charge, making four wins out of four in the Premier League since defeat at Manchester City in the first week of March.

Newcastle are third in the Premier League table on 53 points from 28 games. Next up for Howe & Co is a trip to Brentford on Saturday.
