Mo Salah could stop Liverpool spending £150m on Newcastle United goal machine
Speculation continues to surround the Swede despite Newcastle United holding the cards. Three years left on Isak’s contract places Toon chiefs in a favourable negotiating position should potential suitors come calling.
The 25-year-old - who has 22 goals across all competitions this season - has not signalled his desire to leave. However, that has not stopped reports linking Isak with a move this summer.

Liverpool and Arsenal are the two clubs linked with Isak the most given their No.9 woes. But speaking to Caught Offside, former striker Collymore claimed Salah - with 52 goal contributions in 40 games this season - gives the Reds a transfer dilemma.
“I think any top club would want Alexander Isak,” Collymore told CaughtOffside. “Isak would be a sensational fit for Liverpool as they do not have a proper clinical striker. However, there is an argument that he would not fit in as well as other places because he would not be the main man in terms of goalscoring - that would still be Mo Salah.
“He could easily suffer if he moved to Anfield because of this. In a football team, there is typically one dominant goalscorer, and a couple of others weigh in too, but Isak would not want to be the latter.
