New Premier League table: Where Newcastle United, West Ham & Aston Villa are tipped to finish

Newcastle United currently sit eighth in the Premier League table - but where are Eddie Howe's side predicted to finish come May?

The Magpies, as it stands, are in a battle with Manchester United, West Ham United, Brighton & Hove Albion, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chelsea for the European qualification spots.

United claimed an important victory over Wolves at St James' Park last weekend following goals from Alexander Isak and Anthony Gordon netted first-half goals before Tino Livramento and face another direct rivals in Chelsea on Monday night.

Before then, Man United take on Everton at Old Trafford, West Ham host relegation favourites Burnley while Brighton and Wolves are at home to Nottingham Forest and Fulham, respectively.

Newcastle head coach Eddie Howe was asked about the race for Europe ahead of visiting Stamford Bridge but said he isn't analysing the league table.

He said: "I'm not analysing it too much really in a sense that I much prefer to analyse our next opposition and how we're going to try and play and what we're going to do to try and win the game.

"Instead of analysing tables and teams around us, I'll leave that to you guys [the media]!".
