Eddie Howe has been busy this summer, adding key pieces to his squad, but he is not done yet, with the search for a new striker continuing.

Plenty of time remains in the summer window, and with that in mind, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding St James’ Park.

Cornet asking price

Burnley have already told Newcastle what they will have to pay to land striker Maxwel Cornet this summer.

Strictly speaking, clubs only have to pay £17.5million to land the striker due to a release clause in his contract.

But according to the Daily Mail, if Newcastle or West Ham - who have also been linked - won’t pay the release clause in one installment, Burnley want £25million to sell Cornet.

Cornet scored nine goals last season in the Premier League despite the Clarets suffering relegation.

Milenkovic latest

Nikola Milenkovic is another player who has been linked with a move to St James’ Park.

But La Nazione say Tottenham may now stand the best chance due to Fiorentina wanting to sign Giovani Lo Celso.

Lo Celso is no longer wanted at Tottenham, and it’s suggested he could be included, along with a heap of cash, in a deal that would see Milenkovic head to Tottenham.

However, there are also reports from Spain claiming Villarreal - where Lo Celso spent the back-end of last season - have proposed both a £13million deal, as well as a loan deal with an option to buy.

The Yellows remain favourites to land Lo Celso, meaning they may be hope for Newcastle in the Milenkovic race after all.
