Premier League injury table: How Newcastle compare to Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, Brighton & more

Newcastle United have struggled with an avalanche of injury problems this term

Newcastle United’s season has been hampered with injuries and Eddie Howe has often had to navigate his way through challenging matches without many of his key players including Nick Pope, Sven Botman, Joelinton and Joe Willock, who all played a vital role in helping the club secure Champions League qualification for the first time in 20 years.

However, despite the various setbacks, Newcastle remain in contention for a Europa League finish, and have been able to introduce a number of up and coming talents to the first team such as Tino Livramento, Lewis Hall, Lewis Miley and even Elliot Anderson, who despite featuring last year, is now enjoying his longest run in the starting line-up.

As things stand, Newcastle are getting closer to a full strength team with several stars taking their first steps towards recovery. But the Magpies are still without more than seven first team players heading into the final run-in.

With that in mind, courtesy of data from transfermarkt, we have taken a look at the total number of injuries sustained by each Premier League club and where Newcastle sit in the overall injury table.
