Newcastle United’s 2023-24 home shirt has been ‘leaked’ - with Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier pictured in new photos doing the rounds on social media.

In the tweet attached below, Guimaraes and Trippier, plus Newcastle United Women’s player Daisy Burt are photographed wearing the new shirt, with the website design mirroring the NUFC online store.

The front-of-shirt sponsor displayed is Sela, the Saudi Arabian events company the Magpies had entered advanced talks with last month over a £25million-a-year deal.

NewcastleWorld understands photoshoots were done before the end of the Premier League season with no sponsor, so released images are photoshopped to include the new sponsor.

Newcastle confirmed on Monday that FUN88 was no longer their main sponsor - paving the way to unveil Sela.

Sela operates in dozens of countries and organises big sporting events including the Race of Champions and sources claimed the company was the leading contender to broker a sponsorship deal.

The company was founded in 1995 as Sela Sport and claims to be the first athlete representation group to be recognised by FIFA. Sela also has strong links to the Saudi Arabia men’s football side.

As reported by NewcastleWorld, Magpies chiefs had been working towards a release date of June 9. That date is synonymous with the Geordie nation, given it is the day of the Blaydon Races. It also coincides with the first of Sam Fender’s double-header homecoming gigs at St James’ Park. Talks have taken place about a potential gig x launch tie in.
