Newcastle United were euphoric after beating Brighton under the lights at St James’ Park- Champions League football is now one win away.

Fans were vocal as always, proclaiming their love for the club and their players. But none more so than United’s co-owner Mehrdad Ghodoussi.

Ghodoussi has always been dominant on social media, backing and celebrating the lads. And last night was no different.

Taking to Twitter, he said: ‘I love each and every one of them,’ complete with a love heart and the hashtag #warrior.

Ghodoussi’s warrior spirit began before the game, taking to the social media platform to mobilise Newcastle fans to push their team over the line: ‘This is a call to arms for all of you attending the game at St James’ Park tomorrow night. We need you voices to be loud and your scarves held high. Roar like lions - you are the 12th man and your team needs you!!’

His battle cry was a victorious one, as the team and crowd managed to do just that. Although, the 2 for 1 pints before the match may have also had something to do with it.

Now with two games left before the end of the season, and only one win needed, we need that warrior mindset to continue into the final throes.
