Erik ten Hag’s side are believed to have made a loan offer for Dubravka, who has lost his place in goal to summer signing Nick Pope.
The 33-year-old was expected to feature against Tranmere but his absence was put down to illness.

“I don’t think he’s in talks with Manchester United but there has been contact between the clubs,” Howe confirmed. That is something that will continue to happen.
“In terms of a final outcome, I’m very reluctant to lose any important player from the group. That’s a decision that will be out of my hands.”
Asked by NewcastleWorld if Dubravka is distracted by the Man United talk, Howe said: “Certainly, at the moment, Martin has not been distracted.

“He’s trained very well, the good professional that he is. He’s been perfect in his attitude and mentality. I don’t see why that will change.”
