Newcastle United confirmed starting XI v Bournemouth: £38m star recalled after injury blow

Newcastle United starting XI against Bournemouth: Eddie Howe names one change from Nottingham Forest win.

Eddie Howe has named his Newcastle United starting XI to take on former club AFC Bournemouth in the Premier League this afternoon.

And it features one change from the 3-2 win at Nottingham Forest last weekend with the injured Callum Wilson replaced by Harvey Barnes in attack.

Wilson underwent surgery on his pectoral muscle on Friday and will be sidelined for the majority of the campaign. Alexander Isak had an outside of making the squad but his comeback is set to come against Arsenal next week.

In the pair's absence, Gordon leads the line with Miguel Almiron and Barnes either side. Barnes makes his first Newcastle start since sustaining his foot injury at Sheffield United in September.
