The interest in the Reims forward remains alive and United have dispatched scouts to watch Ekitike throughout the second half of the season.

However, the £20million-rated forward is also being targeted by Borussia Dortmund and is believed to favour a move to the Bundesliga giants.

The report suggests Ekitike will reject any possible move to the Premier League and has his heart set on replacing Erling Haaland should the Norwegian frontman leave Dortmund this summer.
