Raheem Sterling’s impending move to Chelsea could push Newcastle United target Armando Broja closer to the exit door.
The Magpies are among the Premier League clubs - including West Ham United and Everton - who have registered an interest in the Albanian striker.

Eddie Howe’s side were confident of landing Reims star Hugo Ekitike this summer but a dispute with his agent has pushed the club towards exploring other targets.
Broja, who scored nine goals during his loan spell at Southampton last season, is under consideration.

The domino effect?
His future at Stamford Bridge is still yet be fully decided, although reports in Albania suggest the 20-year-old is set to be left out of the Blues’ pre-season tour of the US.
Broja is already behind the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic in the attacking pecking order.

Indeed, news of Sterling’s imminent £45million from Manchester City to Chelsea will only push the striker further down the list.

Quite possibly, once Sterling’s transfer is confirmed, it could see Thomas Tuchel decide on Broja’s future sooner rather than later.

Chelsea have not yet told Newcastle, West Ham and Everton of their plans for Broja after submitting enquiries.
A new striker is on Newcastle’s radar
Howe wants to recruit a striker capable of rivalling Callum Wilson and Chris Wood for the No.9 spot.
Wilson spent the majority of last season on the sidelines with a calf injury, prompting United to sign Wood from Burnley in January.

The New Zealand international has only found the net twice in 16 appearances but was highly praised by Howe for his selfless displays.
Wilson remains Newcastle’s best striker but naturally, having missed 16 games last term and 11 the year before, there are concerns over his fitness.
