Eze moved around a lot during his youth career and spent time with the academies at Arsenal, Reading, Fulham and Millwall before making his first appearance in senior football with QPR in the 2016/17 FA Cup.

The Greenwhich born star went on to spend the first half of the 2-17/18 season on loan at Wycombe Wanderers before returning to Loftus Road and establishing himself in the first team.

He made a total of 112 appearances for the club during his time there and scored 12 goals.

In his first season wit Crystal Palace he made 34 Premier League appearances and scored four goals and played the full 90 minutes in both fixtures against Newcastle.

The 23-year old picked up an achilles injury in May last year and missed the first three months of the season before making his first appearance in November.

He has made seven appearances for the Eagles this season, five in the Premier League and two in the FA Cup, but has not found the back of the net.

Eze is an England youth international and has been capped at Under 20 and Under 21 level but is also eligible to play for Nigeria.

What has been reported about Newcastle United’s interest in Eberechi Eze?

Earlier in the week, The Sun reported that Newcastle United were prepared to bid a whopping £45 million to sign Eberechi Eze from Crystal Palace in the summer.

The same publication also claimed that United offered the Eagles £5 million in the January window to take the player on loan for the rest of the season with a view to a £35 million permanent in the summer.

However, that bid is said to have been flatly rejected by the London club who did not want to sell the player mid-campaign.

Now, the Standard are reporting that Eze is happy at Crystal Palace despite the recent reports of United’s interest.

The claim that “egardless of any interest from St James’s Park, Eze is content in south London, where the club still see him as a key part of their future under manager Patrick Vieira.”
