Newcastle United ‘culture’ hilariously revealed ahead of historic PSG clash

Jamie Carragher and Micah Richards poked fun at Newcastle United last night after Arsenal and Manchester United’s Champions League losses.

Looking ahead to Newcastle’s clash against PSG tonight at 8pm, Richards tried to make light of the logistical problems TNT face while broadcasting from St James’ Park tonight.

United’s ground will be crawling with journalists, photographers and broadcasters- significantly more people and crews than the stadium usually accommodates. Richards, however, was up for the challenge, hoping it’ll give them a new perspective.

“It’ll be good for the show, won’t it? We get a different position. We don’t want to be just pitchside, we get to go upstairs, do a bit of mingling with the fans and the Geordies- the real culture!”

To which Carragher replied: “What is the culture?”

Then, with a comically long pause, Richards replied: “It’s... drinking,” followed by an eruption of laughter.

To be fair to him, I’m not sure he’s entirely wrong...
