Newcastle United moved three points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth place with a thumping 5-1 win over West Ham United on Wednesday night.
Callum Wilson and Joelinton netted in either half with Alexander Isak also getting in on the action as the Magpies made it four wins on the bounce.
Eddie Howe’s side still have a game in hand over Spurs, with their recent winning run putting them in pole position to finish in the top four.
Ahead of the win in London, Howe said: “We want to achieve whatever we can and push as hard as we can. There is no part of us that is trying to keep anything down, that goes against my internal beliefs. We are going for everything.”
