Newcastle United expected starting XI vs Everton: Eddie Howe to name two interesting changes - gallery
How Newcastle United are expected to line-up against Everton at St James’ Park.
Newcastle United host Everton as they look to record their fourth victory of the Premier League season.
It’s been a positive start to the campaign for Eddie Howe’s side, who sit sixth in the table with 15 points from the opening 10 games.
United have lost just once but if there is a small criticism, it is Howe’s men have already drawn six matches - the highest in the division.
The likes of Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have sat deep and frustrated Newcastle on Tyneside. Everton, tonight, are expected to do the same, so nited must rise to the challenge.
With this the club’s second fixture of a three-game week - the goalless draw at Manchester United was just three days ago - Howe may look to freshen up his line-up for the visit of the Toffees.
And we’re predicting Howe to name two changes in our starting XI gallery below:

1. GK: Nick Pope
Pope, a £12m summer signing from Burnley, kept his fourth clean sheet of the campaign last time out.

2. RB: Kieran Trippier
Newcastle will need his leadership and creative threat - both from open play and set pieces -as they look to break down Everton.

3. CB: Fabian Schar
Left Old Trafford battered and bruised after a warrior-like display but is expected to be available to face Everton.

4. CB: Sven Botman
Botman has been labelled as a ‘Rolls Royce’ defender by Newcastle fans, and it’s easy to see why after another display against Man United.
