Newcastle United have in the past been linked with Eden Hazard - but a move for brother Thorgan is a new one.

According to reports in Germany, the Magpies are exploring the possibility of adding the younger brother of Real Madrid and former Chelsea ace Eden, to their ranks for the 2022/23 season.

Eddie Howe is keen to add another five new faces to his Newcastle United senior ranks for next season.

With Matt Targett already through the door, in a £12million deal from Aston Villa, and Nick Pope on his way from Burnley, attention turns to bringing in a central defender and two forwards.

And while a move for Hugo Ekitike of Reims continues to stall, United could use their budget to sign Belgium international Hazard, who has fallen down the pecking order at Borussia Dortmund.

Hazard is said to be available for around £13million, a fee which would not cause United any issues in matching.

Talks to sign Sven Botman remain deadlocked, although United still hope to add the Netherlands youth international to their ranks before pre-season starts on July 1.
