Juventus star eyed

Newcastle are reportedly keen on Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic. That’s according to Italian news site CalcioMercatoWeb, who claim the Toon Army are showing ‘interest’ in the Serbia international. He has scored seven goals in all competitons so far this term and is still only 22-years-old.

Watford man latest

Howe is apparently still wanting to lure Watford attacker Joao Pedro to St James’ Park. The Brazilian was heavily linked with a move in the summer window but ended up staying at Vicarage Road. However, Football Insider report that have been ‘closely’ monitoring his situation so far this term as they ‘weigh’ up a swoop.

Duo shine in Qatar

Newcastle pair Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson both helped England pick up a big win at the World Cup today. The Three Lions battered Iran 6-2 courtesy of goals from Jude Bellingham, Bukayo Saka (x2), Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling and Jack Grealish. Trippier played the full 90 minutes at right-back whilst Wilson came off the bench in the second-half as Gareth Southgate took a few of his big stars off to rest them ahead of upcoming clashes against USA and Wales.
