Newcastle United are now stepping up their preparations for the return of club football in Saudi Arabia.

The World Cup now has around two weeks remaining at this point, and the Magpies are preparing just a few hours away from Qatar, in Saudi Arabia. Eddie Howe and his men will be desperate to hit the ground running following their fine start to the season, and they are hoping the warm weather training camp can serve as a pre-season of sorts.

Newcastle will also be taking a look at the options they have ahead of the January window, and in that vein, we have rounded up all the latest transfer news and rumours surrounding St James’ Park:

Robinson links

Newcastle are said to be interested in USA and Fulham star Antonee Robinson.

According to TeamTalk, the Magpies want to sign another left-back in the January transfer window, and Robinson has emerged as an option. Robinson is an experienced international, racking up 33 caps for USA, and he has been with Fulham since 2020.

Interestingly, Robinson joined Fulham over AC Milan back then, and the report claims Milan are once again considering trying to sign Robinson, potentially rivalling Newcastle for a deal.

Newcastle are said to be interested in reported Arsenal and Liverpool target Adrien Rabiot.

CalcioMercato have reported that the Magpiers could move to rival some of the Premier League giants for the Juventus star, who recently admitted he would like to play in the English top flight some day. Rabiot’s contract expires in the summer, and according to the report, Newcastle could make a juicy pre-contract offer in January in a bid to win the race.

It’s claimed Rabiot will ask for around £186,000-per-week as a minimum as he prepares to leave Juventus, aware that purchasing clubs will save on a transfer fee.
