Not only was Saturday’s 1-1 draw at Bournemouth a frustrating result for Newcastle United, but four fresh injury concerns also emerged.
Callum Wilson missed the meeting against his former club due to a hamstring injury, while Eddie Howe was forced into three substitutions during the game.
Joe Willock was the first to depart in the 35th-minute after having his hamstring heavily strapped. And inside the remaining 10 minutes, both Miguel Almiron and Allan Saint-Maximin needed to be replaced.
It means the Magpies squad is looking a little threadbare heading into the clash against Liverpool at St James’ Park this weekend.
But could there be good news yet? Here is Newcastle’s current injury list and expected return dates.

2. Emil Krafth - ACL
The Swede picked up an ACL injury in the 2-1 Carabao Cup win at Tranmere Rovers in August. Expected return date: 2023-24 season.
3. Javier Manquillo - knee
The Spaniard recently visited Spain for some injections after injuring his knee in training. Expected return date: Manchester City (A) 04/03.
4. Matt Targett - heel
Targett has been sidelined with a heel injury since January but is “very close” to a return to first-team training, according to Howe. Expected return date: Manchester United (N) 26/02.
